Kashmir reports another death, toll 18

A 40-year old CIVID19 positive woman from Bijbehera died at SKIMS on Wednesday, taking the number of deaths due to Coronavirus disease to 18 in J&K

The woman from Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district died at tertiary care hospital late last night, said Nodal officer for coronavirus control at SKIMS, Dr G H Yatoo

He said the woman was admitted from last few days in the isolation ward of the SKIMS soura and had comorbidity.

“She was in isolation after testing positive. She was suffering from acute pancreatitis, having high mortality,” he said.

With her death, the number of COVID-related deaths in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 18—16 of them in Kashmir and two in the Jammu division.
