Kashmir valley witnessed a second death in a single day due to Covid-19 infection on Monday as a 65-year-old woman from Kulgam died at the CD hospital, health officials said.
Nodal Officer for Coronavirus at SMHS Hospital Dr Saleem Khan said that an elderly woman from Souch area of Kulgam district who tested positive for covid-19 on Monday morning died due to cardiac arrest at CD Hospital.
He said that the patient was admitted in Surgical ICU in SMHS Hospital as a case of Sub dural haemorrhage (SDH) and was shifted to CD Hospital after her reports came positive today.
Earlier,a 75-year-old man from Hillar area of Kokernag area of Anantnag died at the CD hospital.
