ARMY PITCHES IN FOR PRODUCTION OF MASKS AT WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CENTRE IN KISHTWAR

Owing to the Corona pandemic and seeing the increasing demand of Masks, Indian Army in Kishtwar took initiative of manufacturing triple layer cloth masks for Awaam. Indian Army activated the Women Empowerment Centre in Kishtwar for manufacturing of masks by the students of Stitching and Tailoring Course. The Covid related safety measures are strictly followed and ensured. The initiative is being carried out in coordination with civil administration and aims to manufacture 700 masks to meet the present requirement which may be increased later as per demand.

        This centre has in the past also facilitated women to channelize their energy towards building their career and self dependency. This project will play a vital role in fight against COVID-19 in Kishtwar region.
