Fresh landslides block Jammu-Srinagar highway

The 270-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway remained closed for vehicular traffic on Saturday as fresh landslides in Chenani, Udhampur district.

The fresh landslides and shooting stones Chenani, Udhampur forced traffic on the highway to be stopped, traffic officials said.

“Clearance operation is going on. Travelers are advised not to undertake journey before contacting our control rooms in Jammu and Srinagar,” an official added.
