There has been a high alert in Jammu and Kashmir regarding the Corona
virus. Two police posts have been established at Lakhanpur and Qazigund.
Where screening of passengers coming from outside has been started.
Passengers from China, Iran, Italy, Hong Kong, Macau, France,
the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan,
Australia and the United States are being closely monitored.
On Wednesday, more than a dozen people, including two tourists
from Germany, were screened in Lakhanpur. However, the symptoms
of corona virus have not been found in any person.
The administrative responsibilities of all the officers have been
fixed by the General Administrative Department for the prevention
of corona virus in the state. Mission Director of NHM Bhupendra
Kumar has been made the overall incharge. He will work under the
supervision of the Financial Commissioner of the Department of
Health and Medical Education.
