CAPACITY BUILDING TOUR FLAGGED OFF FROM POONCH

A Capacity Building Tour for Gujjar and Bakkarwal Communities of Poonch District (J&K) was flagged off by Army. The eight day tour comprising of twenty civilians of Poonch District will visit different places like Chaudhary Sarvan Kumar Agriculture University, Palampur, Clothing Mills, Ludhiana and Govind Ballabh Pant University, Pantnagar. The tour is aimed to give these selected farmers and agriculture students exposure into the field of modern farming techniques, latest applications in Animal Husbandry and an insight into conversion of raw material into finished product by organising a visit to the reputed clothing mills.

            The agriculture students were advised to fully utilize this opportunity in learning and further dissemination of better practices to other locals for community development. The group of civilians set off for a momentous tour with great enthusiasm and sense of adventure in hearts amidst loud cheers and blessings.
