Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs, District Police Samba arrested 03 Drug Peddlers and recovered about 10 gms of Heroin (Chitta) from their possession in two separate incidents in the jurisdiction of P/S Ramgarh & P/S Bari Brahmana.
A Police Party of P/S Ramgah laid a surprise checkpoint near Chak Jhanda, Ramgarh and during checking of the vehicles, intercepted one motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK21F- 4986 which was coming from Ramgarh. During frisking of motor cyclist and pillion rider, a total 06 gms of Heroin (Chitta) was recovered from the possession of both persons identified as Kuldeep Raj S/o Kapoor Chand R/O Ramgarh & Ranju Choudhary S/o Kuldeep Singh R/O Kathar Arnia, Jammu. Both the said drug peddlers were arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 11/2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at P/S Ramgarh and investigation taken up.
In a similar incident, a Police Party of P/S Bari Brahmana while performing patrolling duty in Patli Morh area intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During frisking of the said person, approximately 4 gms of Heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession. The accused person identified as Anil Kumar S/o Tilak Raj R/O Gowal, Patli Morh, Bari Brahmana was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. A case FIR No. 26/2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
