Councilor Gourav Chopra of Jammu Municipal Corporation ward number 28 started plantation drive in the ward. Chopra was accompanied by the dignitaries of the ward.
During this drive, Gourav Chopra said that the dream of life greenery will be fulfilled only when every citizen will join this campaign. Realizing the importance of planting saplings, every citizen will have to take a pledge to plant at least one plant in a year and protect it. He said that if you want to save life, you have to bring greenery. Greenery will come only when we plant saplings. He said that in Indian culture, giving special importance to tree plants has been given the status of God. That is why the worship of tree plants is also done by Indians. Plants are considered life saving as they provide oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. The younger generation should also have attachment with tree plants and make society aware to plant more and more trees. Planting not only works, but attention should also be paid to their maintenance.
