August 11: Mr.Vivek Parihar, a NSS Volunteer organised a Plantation & Cleanliness drive at Udhampur today. He is an active NSS Volunteer from University of Jammu.
In this initiative three schools were adopted by him one primary school , one middle school & one high school of village Riti , Bishorian and Ladihala respectively of Zone tikri.
Meanwhile, he was also accompanied by local Panch and Sarpanch of that area. Honourable guest of these drive were Chairman BDC UDHAMPUR Sh. Balwan Singh ji accompanied by Sarpanch (Lower Garnai) Miss.Anita , Panch (Garnai word no.1) Mr.anil along with the Panch of Riti village.
During these drive they cleaned the bushes of these three schools and planted more than 300 saplings inside the school premises and the adjoining areas, which indeed will help to purify air and reduce the effects of Global warming. The ultimate motive is “CLEAN AND GREEN EARTH”.
