New Delhi, Oct 21 — The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday criticized the BJP-led central government for its failure to maintain law and order in Delhi, citing recent gang-related incidents and shootings across the city. AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the central government of being ineffective in handling the growing threat of criminal gangs that are endangering the safety of residents.
Bharadwaj challenged the BJP to present a report card on the measures it has implemented in the last 10 years to improve Delhi’s law and order situation. He questioned, “If the BJP’s Centre cannot manage the law and order in Delhi, how can they secure the borders of the country?”
Referring to the recent killing of seven individuals, including migrant laborers, in Kashmir, Bharadwaj claimed the central government has also failed to manage the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. “The BJP-led Centre has been completely exposed. They can’t even manage law and order in the capital, let alone in Kashmir,” he added.
Bharadwaj also raised concerns about the persistent traffic congestion in Delhi, alleging that the central government has done little to alleviate the struggles of commuters and motorists in the city.
