Srinagar, Nov 16: The Wildlife Department successfully apprehended a black bear in Ahemsharif village in the northern region of Bandipora district on Thursday.
Fida ur Rehman, the Wildlife Ranger for Bandipora, informed GNS that the area has witnessed frequent sightings of black bears, causing concern among the local residents. To address this issue and prevent potential emergencies, the Wildlife Department has remained vigilant. As part of these efforts, they have captured another black bear in Ahemsharif village.
Notably, just yesterday, a bear was captured in the same village, indicating an ongoing presence of these animals in the area, the official stated.
