Jaipur, November 7 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while speaking at a campaign rally in Rajasthan’s Makrana ahead of the November 25 assembly polls, expressed the view that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should have considered resigning in light of the “red diary” controversy. This “red diary,” alleged to contain details of financial irregularities, was the subject of accusations made by a dismissed minister.
Shah emphasized that before seeking votes, the chief minister should openly disclose the contents of the “red diary” to the people of the state. He also humorously mentioned a conversation with communists he had encountered at the airport, who stated that they refused to visit Rajasthan due to the red color of their flag. In this context, Shah alluded to the “red diary” allegations made by the sacked minister Rajendra Gudha, which claimed to contain information about illegal financial transactions involving the chief minister.
Shah further stated that Chief Minister Gehlot should have resigned over the “red diary” issue instead of taking action against his minister. Earlier in the day, the senior BJP leader also addressed a rally in Kuchaman.
