Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu \nMunicipal Corporation along with Dinesh Gupta Councillor of ward No. 18 \nconducted an extensive tour of different areas of Sarwal of said ward \nand started the construction of various lanes near the Gurudwara Shri \nGuru Singh Sabha Sarwal Jammu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These lanes will be constructed by Engineering Wing of JMC at the \nestimate cost of Rupees Four Lakh within the stipulated time period \n& with quality materials. This was the long pending demands of the \nresidents of Sarwal as the devotees have to face lot of hardships due to\n broken lanes to pass through the lanes to reach Shri Guru Singh Sabha \nGurudwara and back to their destinations, especially in the morning \n& evening hours. They also raise the issues of installation of street lights, lifting \nof stray dogs\/ animals, better sanitation in their locality. Mayor \nassured that all their demands will be sorted out on merits and directed\n the concerned officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation to resolve the \nissues on war footing. He also told the gatherings that all the other \nremaining lanes\/drains will be renovated\/ constructed in phased manner \nlike in other wards of city. Later Mayor also visited Ward No.47 in the \nareas of Kacha Talab Bahu Fort etc alongwith Smt. Sharda Kumari \nCouncillor of Ward No.47, Sh. Neeraj Puri councilor of Ward No.54 also \nGandhi Nagar BJP Mandal President, Sh. Vinay Gupta BJP Jammu District \nPresident, Mr. Wadhera Junior Engineer & field staff of P.H.E. as \nwell as field staff of different sections of Jammu Municipal Corporation\n & large number of inhabitants of Ward No.47. Mayor kick started the\n laying of P.H.E. pipes of big Diameter by replacing old & defunct \npipes which are insufficient to cater the needs of drinking water for \nthe people of Kacha Talab Bahu Fort Jammu which was the Major demands of\n inhabitants as most of people living there belongs to Below Poverty \nline and they have to bring drinking water especially in Summer Season \nfrom very long distance from their homes. These PHE Pipes will be laid \nat the estimate cost of Rupees Two Lakh only within the shortest period \nof time by the active efforts of Mayor and concerned Councillor. Mayor \nalso told the people of said ward that their other demands i.e. \nconstruction\/ renovation of left over lanes drains & Nallahs, \ndeployment of more SKC\u2019s will be taken on priority as the large number \nof pilgrims from all over India visits everyday to the holy shrine of \nMata Kali Mandir to pay obeisance and have blessings of Bawe Wali Mata \nJi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
