This protest centered around allegations of a leak involving the <strong>NEET-UG 2026<\/strong> exam paper.<\/p>\n<p>The plea reached the Bench led by Chief Justice <strong>Surya Kant<\/strong>, where the petitioner\u2019s counsel urged the court for a quick hearing. The Chief Justice, however, responded assertively, stating, \u201cDon\u2019t waste our time, and don\u2019t waste your time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer representing the students highlighted that the demonstrations addressed important public concerns, such as the alleged NEET-UG paper leak, examination conduct, and necessary reforms for the <strong>National Testing Agency<\/strong> (NTA).<\/p>\n<p>When videos allegedly showcasing police actions against the protesters were mentioned, Chief Justice Kant reiterated, \u201cWe are not interested in videos; we don\u2019t have time to watch.\u201d This clear dismissal underscored the court&#8217;s current unwillingness to engage in urgent hearings related to this matter.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, this courtroom development follows a similar refusal by the <strong>Delhi High Court<\/strong> to consider the request for an urgent hearing regarding police actions during the protests.<\/p>\n<p>The ongoing protests organized by the CJP have escalated in response to the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. Protesters demand accountability, including the resignation of Union <strong>Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan<\/strong> and significant reforms in the examination process.<\/p>\n<p>The situation has notably intensified, with demonstrators marching towards the Parliament. Reports indicate clashes between protesters and police, raising accusations of excessive force and resulting in multiple detentions.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court&#8217;s observations were strictly related to the request for an urgent hearing.
