The revamped scheme aims to accelerate the next phase of aviation-led development across the country by expanding regional air connectivity and improving access to underserved and unserved destinations.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, the modified scheme incorporates multiple strategic components designed to ensure comprehensive, sustainable, and inclusive growth in the aviation sector while enhancing connectivity to remote regions.<\/p>\n<p>The newly inaugurated terminal building at <strong>Jodhpur Airport<\/strong> has been developed at a cost of <strong>\u20b9480 crore<\/strong>. Spread across more than <strong>23,000 square metres<\/strong>, the modern facility has the capacity to handle up to <strong>20 lakh passengers annually<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The terminal has been equipped with a range of modern passenger amenities to provide travellers with a seamless, efficient, and comfortable airport experience.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting Rajasthan&#8217;s rich cultural heritage, the architectural design of the terminal draws inspiration from the state&#8217;s royal legacy by incorporating traditional elements such as <strong>arches<\/strong> and <strong>jharokhas<\/strong>, while seamlessly blending them with contemporary design features.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration ceremony also featured cultural performances by local folk artistes, showcasing Rajasthan&#8217;s vibrant traditions and adding a cultural touch to the Prime Minister&#8217;s visit to the newly inaugurated terminal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launched the Modified UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) Scheme, marking a significant step towards strengthening India&#8217;s regional air connectivity and aviation infrastructure.
