{"id":66136,"date":"2026-06-25T09:41:36","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T09:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/06\/25\/punjab-police-bust-cross-border-arms-and-drug-smuggling-network-seven-arrested\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T09:41:36","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T09:41:36","slug":"punjab-police-bust-cross-border-arms-and-drug-smuggling-network-seven-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/06\/25\/punjab-police-bust-cross-border-arms-and-drug-smuggling-network-seven-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab Police Bust Cross-Border Arms and Drug Smuggling Network; Seven Arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a major crackdown on organized crime, the Punjab Police have dismantled a cross-border illegal arms and narcotics network with the arrest of seven individuals, including an Afghan national, Director General of Police (DGP) <strong>Gaurav Yadav<\/strong> said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Acting in a joint operation with a central agency, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police recovered over <strong>5 kilograms of heroin<\/strong>, <strong>10 sophisticated weapons<\/strong>, including <strong>two sub-machine guns<\/strong>, and <strong>\u20b930.38 lakh in cash<\/strong> from the accused.<\/p>\n<p>According to the DGP, preliminary investigations have revealed that the arrested individuals were allegedly linked to foreign-based handlers who coordinated operations through social media platforms.
