{"id":65889,"date":"2026-05-20T06:44:21","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T06:44:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/20\/cuk-announces-austerity-measures-online-classes-wfh-on-fridays\/"},"modified":"2026-05-20T06:44:21","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T06:44:21","slug":"cuk-announces-austerity-measures-online-classes-wfh-on-fridays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/20\/cuk-announces-austerity-measures-online-classes-wfh-on-fridays\/","title":{"rendered":"CUK Announces Austerity Measures, Online Classes, WFH On Fridays"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has ordered a series of austerity measures, including online classes and work from home on Fridays and Green Saturdays, amid the prevailing situation.<\/div>\n<div>According to an official order, the university administration said that from May-22-2026, the university shall hold online teaching and Work From Home (WFH) on Fridays and Green Saturdays for both teaching and non teaching staff as part of the austerity measures.<\/div>\n<div>The decision was taken following the recommendations of the Dean\u2019s Committee meeting held on May 13 under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor.<\/div>\n<div>The University administration further said that all practical components and laboratory classes scheduled on Fridays shall be rescheduled to Thursday afternoons to ensure continuity of academic activities without disruption.<\/div>\n<div>The university has also directed that the PhD viva examinations and workshops shall be conducted through online mode keeping in view the feasibility of the directives.<\/div>\n<div>The official order stated that in unavoidable circumstances, offline mode may be permitted with the approval of the competent authority.
