{"id":64981,"date":"2026-02-05T06:29:22","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T06:29:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/05\/jk-government-relief-land-allotment-for-disaster-affected-families\/"},"modified":"2026-02-05T06:29:22","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T06:29:22","slug":"jk-government-relief-land-allotment-for-disaster-affected-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/05\/jk-government-relief-land-allotment-for-disaster-affected-families\/","title":{"rendered":"J&#038;K Government Relief &#038; Land Allotment for Disaster-Affected Families"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>J&amp;K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced that the government has approved <strong>allotment of five marlas of state land<\/strong> to each landless family affected by <strong>natural calamities in 2025<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The land will be given on a <strong>40-year lease<\/strong> for residential purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Beneficiaries will <strong>not pay any premium<\/strong>, but will pay a <strong>ground rent of Rs 10 per marla per year<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The lease may be extended further as per rules with approval from the competent authority.<\/li>\n<li>The decision was cleared by the <strong>Council of Ministers<\/strong> and formalized through a <strong>government order issued on January 2<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Assistance in Udhampur District<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over <strong>6,400 families<\/strong> affected by flash floods and landslides in Udhampur district received <strong>more than Rs 23.49 crore<\/strong> in relief.<\/li>\n<li>Tehsil-wise assistance:<\/li>\n<li><strong>Udhampur:<\/strong> 2,666 families \u2014 ~Rs 9.32 crore<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chenani:<\/strong> 1,208 families \u2014 over Rs 5 crore<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ramnagar:<\/strong> 2,298 families \u2014 ~Rs 7.86 crore<\/li>\n<li><strong>Latti-Marothi:<\/strong> 277 families \u2014 over Rs 1 crore<\/li>\n<li>Damage assessments were conducted by field teams and compensation was distributed as per <strong>SDRF norms<\/strong>, directly to beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>J&amp;K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced that the government has approved allotment of five marlas of state land to each landless family affected by natural calamities in 2025.
