{"id":64808,"date":"2026-01-17T11:17:44","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:17:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/01\/17\/mata-vaishno-devi-college\/"},"modified":"2026-01-17T11:17:44","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:17:44","slug":"mata-vaishno-devi-college","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/01\/17\/mata-vaishno-devi-college\/","title":{"rendered":"Mata Vaishno Devi College"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ruling National Conference (NC) MLA Tanvir Sadiq has submitted a resolution in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly urging the Centre to review the decision to revoke permission for the MBBS course at the <strong>Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>National Medical Commission (NMC)<\/strong> had withdrawn the Letter of Permission (LoP) to the medical college, citing non-compliance with minimum standards and <strong>serious deficiencies in faculty strength, clinical material and infrastructure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, Sadiq\u2019s Private Member\u2019s resolution calls upon the <strong>Union government and the NMC<\/strong> to immediately review and reconsider the decision to withdraw the Letter of Permission.<\/p>\n<p>The NMC\u2019s move came amid protests by some right-wing outfits over a large number of non-Hindu candidates being admitted to the MBBS course.
