The demonstration led to <strong>clashes with police<\/strong> after protesters broke through multiple barricades in the high-security zone.<\/p>\n<p>Despite heavy security arrangements, protesters forced several barricades down as police struggled to contain the advancing crowd. The area around the High Commission had been fortified with <strong>three layers of barricading<\/strong> and a <strong>reinforced deployment of police and paramilitary forces<\/strong> in anticipation of the protest.<\/p>\n<p>A senior police officer said that around <strong>15,000 police personnel<\/strong> were deployed ahead of the demonstration. Police managed to stop the protesters approximately <strong>800 metres away<\/strong> from the Bangladesh High Commission. <strong>Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses<\/strong> were also parked strategically to block further movement towards the mission.<\/p>\n<p>The protest site witnessed a large display of <strong>banners and placards<\/strong>, many of which carried strong messages condemning the Bangladesh government. One placard read, <em>\u201cHindu rakt ki ek ek boond ka hisaab chahiye\u201d<\/em> (Each drop of Hindu blood must be accounted for).<\/p>\n<p>The protest followed the lynching of <strong>Dipu Chandra Das (25)<\/strong>, a garment factory worker in <strong>Baluka area of Mymensingh district, Bangladesh<\/strong>, on <strong>December 18<\/strong>. According to police reports, Das was allegedly beaten by a mob outside the factory, hanged from a tree, and later his body was set on fire near the <strong>Dhaka\u2013Mymensingh Highway<\/strong>, reportedly over allegations of blasphemy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe strongly condemn the brutal killing of a Hindu man. We urge the Indian government to take up the matter seriously and demand strict action against those responsible. The Bangladesh police must also act decisively,\u201d said one of the protesters.<\/p>\n<p>Another protester said, \u201cIndia believes in treating all communities as brothers and sisters.
