{"id":64563,"date":"2025-12-23T09:03:44","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T09:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/23\/kishtwar-observes-bandh-massive-protest-against-targeted-attacks-on-hindus-in-bangladesh\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T09:03:44","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T09:03:44","slug":"kishtwar-observes-bandh-massive-protest-against-targeted-attacks-on-hindus-in-bangladesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/23\/kishtwar-observes-bandh-massive-protest-against-targeted-attacks-on-hindus-in-bangladesh\/","title":{"rendered":"Kishtwar Observes Bandh, Massive Protest Against Targeted Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kishtwar today observed a <strong>complete bandh and massive protest<\/strong> following a call given by the <strong>Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS), Kishtwar<\/strong>, against the alleged <strong>targeted killing of Hindus and selective attacks on their properties in Bangladesh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The protest witnessed participation from leaders of various <strong>social, religious and political organisations<\/strong>, including <strong>Leader of Opposition and MLA Padder\u2013Nagseni, Sunil Sharma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Following the bandh call, <strong>most shops remained closed till around 1:00 PM<\/strong>, while <strong>vehicular movement was partially affected<\/strong> in several areas of the town.<\/p>\n<p>Since early morning, protesters gathered at <strong>Kokila Chowk<\/strong>, raising <strong>anti-Bangladesh and anti-Yunus slogans<\/strong>. The demonstrators staged a dharna and also <strong>burnt tyres<\/strong>, leading to temporary disruption of traffic in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the protesters, <strong>President Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS), Kishtwar, Mahant Ram Saran Dass<\/strong>, along with <strong>LoP Sunil Sharma and other leaders<\/strong>, expressed serious concern over the recent developments in Bangladesh. They alleged incidents of <strong>mob lynching and brutal killings of Hindus<\/strong>, terming them deeply disturbing.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers particularly referred to the <strong>lynching of Hindu worker Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh<\/strong>, stating that the incident has sent shockwaves across the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to convey that <strong>every Hindu and every Sanatani of this region stands firmly with our Hindu brothers in Bangladesh<\/strong>, who are facing attacks and violence,\u201d Sunil Sharma told media persons during the protest.<\/p>\n<p>The dharna concluded with the <strong>burning of an effigy of Bangladesh\u2019s Chief Advisor, Muhammad Yunus<\/strong>.
