Jammu, 26th September 2025<\/strong> \u2014 Today, the Hon\u2019ble Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, initiated the Mahila Jan Sunwai (Rashtriya Mahila Ayog-Apke Dwar) program in Jammu. This initiative aims to directly address women\u2019s grievances through immediate engagement and resolution, drawing significant participation from various complainants.<\/p>\n

The Commission successfully resolved numerous complaints on the spot, offering timely relief and guidance. This initiative highlights NCW’s ongoing commitment to ensuring justice and robust support systems for women through accessible and responsive mechanisms. The program aligns with the government’s vision of empowering women and enhancing their safety and dignity.<\/p>\n

Smt. In a follow-up to the Mahila Jan Sunwai, a review meeting took place with senior Police and district administrative officers. Smt. Rahatkar also highlighted the significance of data-driven approaches in understanding the landscape of crimes against women.
