The first train has already undergone trials and is set for launch from the Shakur Basti Coaching Depot in Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials from the ministry, the second train is currently under manufacturing and is expected to be ready by <strong>October 15, 2025<\/strong>. Vaishnaw made it clear that both trains would debut concurrently. \u201cWe are waiting for the second rake to ensure continuity in our services,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Speculation surrounding the launch suggests that these sleeper trains may primarily serve the route between New Delhi and Patna, particularly as Bihar gears up for polls later this year.<\/p>\n<p>During a media briefing, Vaishnaw, accompanied by Minister of State for Railways <strong>Ravneet Singh Bittu<\/strong>, also discussed ongoing railway projects in Punjab. This service will pass through significant stations, including Faridkot, Bhatinda, Dhuri, and Patiala, covering a distance of <strong>486 kilometres<\/strong> in approximately 6 hours and 40 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will request the Prime Minister for approval of the Firozpur-Delhi <strong>Vande Bharat train<\/strong>,\u201d Vaishnaw confirmed during the briefing.<\/p>\n<p>The ministers outlined a framework of key railway projects commissioned since 2014, emphasizing improvements such as the new <strong>Nangal Dam-Daulat Pur Chowk<\/strong> line and various doubling projects to enhance service efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Significant projects include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nangal Dam-Daulat Pur Chowk line (61 kilometres, Rs 672 crore)<\/li>\n<li>Doubling of Chakki Bank-Bharoli line (3 kilometres, Rs 15 crore)<\/li>\n<li>Ambala-Chandigarh line (45 kilometres, Rs 338 crore)<\/li>\n<li>Rajpura-Bathinda line (173 kilometres, Rs 2,459 crore)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to completed projects, seven projects are currently under execution, including new lines and further doubling projects. These developments aim to modernize India\u2019s rail transport efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the <strong>Amrit Bharat station redevelopment scheme<\/strong>, Vaishnaw highlighted that 30 stations are receiving upgrades.
