AUG 28: Security forces eliminated two terrorists on Thursday attempting to infiltrate along the Line of Control in Gurez sector\u2019s Naushehra Nard in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
A joint team of Indian Army and J&K Police thwarted an infiltration attempt along the LoC in Gurez sector\u2019s Naushehra Nard and neutralized two terrorists sneaking into Indian territory.<\/p>\n
It is learnt that the alert troops spotted suspicious movement and challenged the intruders resulting in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire.<\/p>\n
The intruders were retaliated with effective firing leading to the elimination of two ultras.<\/p>\n
In a post on social media X, Chinar Corps wrote, \u201cBased on intelligence provided by JKP regarding a likely infiltration attempt, a joint operation was launched by #IndianArmy and @JmuKmrPolicein Gurez Sector. Alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged, which resulted in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire. Troops responded with effective fire, neutralising two terrorists.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pertinent to mention, on August 13, an army personnel made the supreme sacrifice during an exchange of fire when an infiltration attempt was thwarted along the LoC in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
