{"id":61668,"date":"2025-07-08T08:55:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T08:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/?p=61668"},"modified":"2025-07-08T08:55:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T08:55:07","slug":"amarnath-yatra-batch-of-over-7500-pilgrims-leave-jammu-amid-heightened-security-cover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/08\/amarnath-yatra-batch-of-over-7500-pilgrims-leave-jammu-amid-heightened-security-cover\/","title":{"rendered":"Amarnath Yatra: Batch of over 7,500 pilgrims leave Jammu amid heightened security cover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JULY 8: Amidst the tight security cover, a fresh batch of over 7,500 pilgrims left Jammu on Tuesday for the Amarnath Shrine.<\/p>\n<p>The pilgrims were brimmed with zest and zeal and reverberated \u201cBam Bam Bhole\u201d and chanted Shiv Bhajans while departing Jammu for the holy pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.<\/p>\n<p>The 38-day-long pilgrimage for the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine of Amarnath commenced on July 3 and will culminate on August 9, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Pilgrimage from the valley is via the twin tracks \u2014 the traditional 48-km-long Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and the 14-km Baltal route in Ganderbal district.<\/p>\n<p>It is learnt that more than 94,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva since the beginning of the yatra.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the seventh batch of over 7,500 pilgrims underpinned 5,516 men and 1,765 women.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JULY 8: Amidst the tight security cover, a fresh batch of over 7,500 pilgrims left Jammu on Tuesday for the Amarnath Shrine.
