Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong> and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri<\/strong>, for their unwavering support to the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB)<\/strong>.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHe also extended thanks to ONGC for taking up the establishment of Yatri Niwas complexes<\/strong> at Sidhra (Jammu), Baltal, Nunwan, and Bijbehara<\/strong>, with a total project cost of \u20b9240 crore under CSR funding.\r\n\r\n \r\n

  • \u201cProviding safe and adequate accommodation to all devotees is our top priority. We are continuously working to enhance the facilities for pilgrims, while also creating livelihood opportunities for locals,\u201d said the Lieutenant Governor.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n \r\n\r\nHe informed that the Yatri Niwas projects at Sidhra, Nunwan (Phase-I), and Bijbehara<\/strong> are under progress, with the Nunwan facility expected to be completed before October<\/strong> this year.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe LG also highlighted major infrastructure developments:\r\n\r\n \r\n

    • Widened tracks and newly installed safety railings<\/strong> for secure and hassle-free pilgrim movement.<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t
    • Grid power illumination<\/strong> on tracks, significantly improving safety and enabling 24×7 surveillance<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t
    • Planned grid power connectivity from Panchtarni to Chandanwari<\/strong> by next year.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n \r\n\r\nAppreciating the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders, LG Sinha lauded the contribution of Police, Security Forces, Shrine Board members, executing agencies, engineers, sanitation workers, civil society, langar seva organizations<\/strong>, and local residents<\/strong> for the smooth conduct of the Yatra.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nDuring his visit to the Baltal Base Camp<\/strong>, the LG interacted with service providers and devotees<\/strong>, extending his best wishes for a safe and fulfilling pilgrimage.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAddressing the media, he stated that over 20,000 pilgrims<\/strong> have already had darshan<\/strong> at the holy cave.\r\n\r\n \r\n
