Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman of Team Jammu<\/strong>, a prominent social organization, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha<\/strong> today and submitted a detailed memorandum seeking exclusive recruitment drives<\/strong> for youth residing in the border and remote villages of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Jamwal emphasized the pressing need for targeted opportunities<\/strong> for youth living along the Line of Control (LoC)<\/strong> to join the Indian Army, paramilitary forces<\/strong>, and the J&K Police<\/strong>. He said that empowering border youth through such initiatives would not only address rising unemployment<\/strong> but also bolster India\u2019s defensive capabilities<\/strong> in strategically sensitive regions.<\/p>\n

\u201cBorder youth are deeply patriotic and committed to the nation. Giving them a chance to serve in uniform is both a recognition of their resilience and an investment in our national security,\u201d Jamwal said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his memorandum, Jamwal also highlighted the recurrent threats<\/strong> faced by civilians living in vulnerable areas and reiterated Team Jammu\u2019s longstanding demand for the construction of permanent concrete bunkers<\/strong> to safeguard lives during cross-border firing and escalation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese shelters are essential not only for physical protection but also to ensure that families can continue living in their ancestral homes with safety and dignity,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ashmita Paul Meets LG During Solo Journey for \u2018Beti Bachao Beti Padhao\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In a separate meeting, Ashmita Paul<\/strong>, a self-defence instructor from Guwahati, Assam, also called on the Lieutenant Governor during her solo two-wheeler expedition<\/strong> from Guwahati to Kashmir to Kanyakumari<\/strong>. Her journey aims to raise awareness for the government\u2019s flagship initiative, \u2018Beti Bachao Beti Padhao\u2019<\/strong>, which promotes girl child education and empowerment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

LG Sinha congratulated Paul on her inspiring mission and lauded her commitment to women\u2019s safety, self-reliance, and education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
