He also took stock of relief, rehabilitation and damage control measures being undertaken in the region.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"817\">During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor went to the <strong data-start=\"589\" data-end=\"633\">Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri<\/strong>, where he inquired about the health and recovery of civilians injured in the shelling. He interacted with doctors and patients, assuring all necessary support from the administration.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"1209\">The LG was briefed by <strong data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"889\">Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma<\/strong>, regarding the current ground situation, availability of essential services, emergency response, and the disbursement of relief to affected families. He was also informed about the extent of <strong data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1114\">property and livestock damage<\/strong> and the need for <strong data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1166\">additional underground bunkers<\/strong> in the district to ensure civilian safety.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1211\" data-end=\"1455\">In a solemn moment during the review meeting, the gathering paid <strong data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1309\">homage to Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa<\/strong>, the Additional District Development Commissioner of Rajouri, who lost his life in the line of duty during the enemy shelling in a civilian area.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1457\" data-end=\"1789\">Later in the day, LG Sinha visited <strong data-start=\"1492\" data-end=\"1504\">Nowshera<\/strong>, one of the worst-hit sectors, and assessed the damage to residential homes and public infrastructure. He met with local residents and listened to their grievances and safety concerns, reaffirming the administration&#8217;s commitment to ensuring their protection and speedy rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1791\" data-end=\"2022\">&#8220;The <strong data-start=\"1796\" data-end=\"1838\">Government of India is fully committed<\/strong> to the safety and well-being of every citizen living in the border areas.
