Union Home Minister Amit Shah<\/strong> assured BJP MLAs and senior party leaders on Sunday that the terror-related situation in the Jammu region<\/strong> will be brought under control shortly. During a high-level meeting held at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Shah reiterated that statehood to Jammu & Kashmir<\/strong> will be restored at an \u201cappropriate time,\u201d reaffirming the Central Government\u2019s long-standing commitment.<\/p>\n

The two-hour meeting saw participation from key leaders including Dr. Jitendra Singh<\/strong>, Tarun Chug<\/strong>, Sat Sharma<\/strong>, Sunil Sharma<\/strong>, Jugal Kishore Sharma<\/strong>, and Ghulam Ali Khatana<\/strong>. All 28 BJP MLAs from J&K were present.<\/p>\n

“Security Forces are on the Job”: Shah<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Responding to concerns over increased militant activity, especially in the upper reaches of districts like Kathua<\/strong>, Shah assured that security agencies are formulating strategic responses<\/strong>. \u201cThe situation will be under control shortly,\u201d he said, referring to the recent Kathua encounter that claimed the lives of four policemen and two terrorists.<\/p>\n

Waqf Bill and Governance Under Spotlight<\/strong><\/h4>\n

On the controversial Waqf (Amendment) Bill<\/strong>, Shah asserted that the law is intended for the benefit of poor, women, and orphans<\/strong> and is not aimed at disrupting religious institutions. The BJP, he stressed, stands by the Bill fully.<\/p>\n

He also addressed concerns raised by opposition parties about JKAS transfers and administrative decisions, emphasizing that all actions are being carried out within the rule of law<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Play a Strong Opposition”: Shah to BJP MLAs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Shah guided legislators on how to counter political narratives<\/strong> surrounding Article 370, Waqf reforms, and Statehood. He urged them to engage constructively both inside and outside the Assembly<\/strong> to expose misleading claims by opposition parties like the National Conference and Congress<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
