Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal<\/strong>, a celebrated mountaineer from Jammu<\/strong>, has embarked on a historic mission<\/strong> to lead the Mt. Kangchenjunga Expedition 2025<\/strong>. The expedition, led by Team NIMAS (National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports, Arunachal Pradesh)<\/strong>, was flagged off<\/strong> by Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The primary goal of the mission is to hoist the Tricolor<\/strong> atop Mt. Kangchenjunga (8,586m)<\/strong>, India\u2019s third-highest peak<\/strong>, as part of the \u2018Har Shikhar Tiranga\u2019<\/strong> initiative.<\/p>\n

Col Jamwal & NIMAS: Record-Breaking Legacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Under Col Jamwal\u2019s leadership<\/strong>, NIMAS has set numerous records<\/strong>, the most recent being in February 2025<\/strong>, when Team NIMAS became the first-ever team to raft the entire 1,040 km stretch of the Brahmaputra River<\/strong>, setting a new world record<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mt. Kangchenjunga, known for its harsh weather, technical challenges, and avalanche risks<\/strong>, is considered even tougher than Mt. Everest<\/strong>. At the flag-off ceremony<\/strong>, Sanjay Seth praised NIMAS\u2019s efforts<\/strong> and lauded Col Jamwal\u2019s invaluable contribution<\/strong> to adventure sports in India.<\/p>\n
