In now-deleted posts, Mohamed<\/strong> commented that Sharma was \u201cfat for a sportsman\u201d<\/strong> and called him \u201cthe most unimpressive Captain India has ever had.\u201d<\/strong> Her remarks came amid India\u2019s undefeated run in the ongoing Champions Trophy<\/strong>, with a crucial semi-final against Australia set for Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Backlash from Political and Sporting Circles<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The comments were met with widespread condemnation, with Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya<\/strong> calling them \u201cdeeply shameful and outright pathetic.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia<\/strong> termed the remarks \u201cvery unfortunate\u201d<\/em> and warned that such statements could demoralize the team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Following the backlash, the Congress party distanced itself from Mohamed\u2019s remarks. TMC, BJP Leaders Join the Debate<\/strong><\/h3>\n

TMC leader Saugata Roy<\/strong> supported Mohamed\u2019s criticism of Rohit Sharma, stating that he should be dropped from the team<\/strong> due to poor performances.<\/p>\n

BJP\u2019s Amit Malviya<\/strong> accused the Congress of trying to undermine Team India\u2019s morale<\/strong> at a crucial time, while Shehzad Poonawalla<\/strong> mocked the Congress, stating, “Those who have lost 90 elections under Rahul Gandhi are calling Rohit Sharma unimpressive!”<\/em><\/p>\n
