India is set to surpass Japan<\/strong> and Germany<\/strong> to become the world\u2019s third-largest economy<\/strong> by 2027<\/strong>, according to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia<\/strong>. Speaking in Bhopal on Wednesday, the Minister also advised the Congress<\/strong> to reconsider its stance on Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong> before making further criticisms.<\/p>\n

    Economic Growth Under PM Modi’s Leadership<\/strong>
    Scindia highlighted the decline in inflation<\/strong> since 2014<\/strong>, when it stood at 8.3-9%<\/strong>. Under PM Modi<\/strong>, inflation has been brought down to 4.5%<\/strong>, showing a significant improvement<\/strong> in India\u2019s economic stability. He also pointed to the unemployment rate<\/strong>, which stood at 10% during the Congress-led UPA government<\/strong>, compared to a much lower 3%<\/strong> under the current NDA government.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    India\u2019s Future Economic Status<\/strong>
    According to Scindia, India’s economy<\/strong> will continue to grow under PM Modi\u2019s leadership<\/strong> and surpass Japan and Germany<\/strong> by 2027, establishing India as the third-largest economy<\/strong> in the world. He urged the Congress party<\/strong> to reflect on the past before making further critiques of PM Modi<\/strong> and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)<\/strong> government.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Banking Sector Improvements<\/strong>
    The Minister also reflected on the state of the banking sector<\/strong> during the Congress-led UPA<\/strong> era, citing a rise in non-performing assets (NPAs)<\/strong>, which had reached 11%<\/strong>. In contrast, under PM Modi<\/strong>, the NPA ratio<\/strong> has been reduced to 2.6%<\/strong>, signaling a clean-up of bank balance sheets<\/strong> and a more stable financial environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Scindia’s Visit to Bhopal<\/strong>
    Scindia had arrived in Bhopal<\/strong> to attend a wedding function<\/strong>. During his visit, he also met with Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel<\/strong> at Raj Bhavan<\/strong> and former home minister Narottam Mishra<\/strong> at his residence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
