The party warned of a protest to <strong>lay siege to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge\u2019s residence<\/strong> in Kalaburagi in January if their demands are not met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<strong>The Kharge family is very powerful, and the state police cannot investigate them impartially. Hence, the matter should be handed over to the CBI,\u201d<\/strong> BJP state president <strong>B Y Vijayendra<\/strong> told reporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Civil Contractor\u2019s Allegations<\/strong><br><strong>Sachin Panchal<\/strong>, a civil contractor, allegedly died by suicide on December 26 by lying before a moving train in Bidar district. In his <strong>suicide note<\/strong>, Panchal accused Priyank Kharge\u2019s close aide <strong>Raju Kapanur<\/strong> of pressuring him to pay \u20b91 crore. He also alleged that he received <strong>death threats<\/strong>, compelling him to take the drastic step. Kapanur has denied the allegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Priyank Kharge, while denying any involvement, said his name was not mentioned in the suicide note. He also called for an <strong>inquiry<\/strong> to uncover the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BJP Intensifies Pressure<\/strong><br>The BJP has <strong>intensified its demands<\/strong>, alleging that the police in Kalaburagi district are influenced by the Kharge family. Vijayendra called on <strong>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah<\/strong> to demand Priyank Kharge\u2019s <strong>resignation<\/strong> and to hand over the investigation to the <strong>CBI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Compensation Demands<\/strong><br>The BJP has also demanded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Protection<\/strong> for Panchal\u2019s family.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compensation of \u20b91 crore<\/strong> for the family.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>government job<\/strong> for one family member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ultimatum and Planned Protest<\/strong><br>Vijayendra announced that the party would wait until <strong>January 3<\/strong> for the Chief Minister to order a CBI inquiry. \u201cIf our demands are not met, the BJP will stage a <strong>massive protest in Kalaburagi on January 4<\/strong> and lay siege to Kharge\u2019s house,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conspiracy Claims<\/strong><br>Vijayendra highlighted another serious aspect of Panchal\u2019s suicide note, alleging a <strong>conspiracy to eliminate BJP MLA Basavaraj Mattimud<\/strong>, leaders <strong>Chandru Patil<\/strong>, <strong>Manikanth Rathod<\/strong>, and pontiff <strong>Siddalinga Swami<\/strong>.
