The approval, conveyed via an official letter dated December 24, 2024, has been granted under Section 35B of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chatterjee will assume office on December 30, 2024, for a tenure of three years. As per the RBI\u2019s notification, his annual fixed pay has been set at \u20b91.40 crore, inclusive of perquisites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The appointment of Chatterjee is seen as a significant move for J&amp;K Bank.
