On Saturday, the <strong>Election Commission<\/strong> had directed the presidents of both the BJP and Congress to provide their responses to the complaints lodged against their respective party leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>EC<\/strong> sent <strong>separate letters<\/strong> to <strong>BJP President J P Nadda<\/strong> and <strong>Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge<\/strong>, asking them to comment on the allegations made by the opposing party. However, both the <strong>Congress<\/strong> and <strong>BJP<\/strong> have now requested an extension of <strong>seven additional days<\/strong> to submit their formal responses to the poll panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Congress<\/strong> has accused <strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong> and <strong>Home Minister Amit Shah<\/strong> of violating the <strong>poll code<\/strong>, while the <strong>BJP<\/strong> has filed a complaint against <strong>Congress leader Rahul Gandhi<\/strong>.
