They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Australia, focusing on security, trade, and education, and enhancing cooperation across the Indo-Pacific region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a post on X, Jaishankar highlighted the discussions, saying, &#8220;A great start this morning meeting Australian FM @SenatorWong in Tokyo. We talked about intensifying our bilateral ties and deepening our practical cooperation across the Indo-Pacific. Looking forward to continuing these discussions at the Quad Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting shortly.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, on Sunday, Jaishankar also met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Tokyo. They reaffirmed their commitment to a free, open, and prosperous Indo-Pacific. The two leaders explored opportunities for closer collaboration between India and the U.S. and discussed regional and global issues, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Quad, consisting of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States, aims to support an open, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>External Affairs Minister S.
