Across the five Lok Sabha seats in the region, a cumulative total of 34,788 voters opted for NOTA, expressing their dissatisfaction with the candidates put forward by political parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The highest number of NOTA votes, totaling 12,938, was recorded in the Udhampur constituency of the Jammu region, where BJP candidate Jitendra Singh retained his seat. Surprisingly, NOTA garnered more votes than nine out of the 11 other candidates contesting from Udhampur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the neighboring Jammu seat, NOTA received 4,645 votes, surpassing the individual vote counts of 18 candidates. Despite 22 candidates competing for the seat, BJP&#8217;s Jugal Kishore emerged victorious, securing more votes than the NOTA option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Srinagar seat, 5,998 voters opted for NOTA, outnumbering the votes received by 18 out of the 24 candidates in the fray. Similarly, in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, 6,223 voters favored NOTA, with nine candidates receiving fewer votes than the NOTA option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Baramulla seat saw 4,984 votes cast for NOTA, with 14 candidates falling short of the NOTA count. This trend highlights a significant level of dissatisfaction among voters with the candidates available for selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast, in the Ladakh Union territory, where NOTA was chosen by only 912 voters, all three candidates received more votes than NOTA.
