According to a meteorological department official, Srinagar experienced a low of 13.0\u00b0C, slightly down from the previous night&#8217;s 13.6\u00b0C, marking a 1.6\u00b0C increase above the seasonal norm for this period in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, Qazigund observed a minimum temperature of 11.0\u00b0C compared to the previous night&#8217;s 10.6\u00b0C, registering an 0.8\u00b0C rise above normal. Pahalgam, renowned for its scenic beauty, recorded a low of 7.5\u00b0C, surpassing the previous night&#8217;s 7.0\u00b0C and exceeding the typical temperature by 1.6\u00b0C for this time of year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kokernag, situated in south Kashmir, noted a minimum temperature of 10.7\u00b0C, up from the previous night&#8217;s 10.1\u00b0C, marking a 0.7\u00b0C increase above the seasonal average. Conversely, Kupwara town recorded a low of 9.8\u00b0C, slightly cooler than the previous night&#8217;s 10.1\u00b0C, yet still 0.3\u00b0C below normal temperatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gulmarg, famous for its skiing slopes, recorded a minimum temperature of 8.1\u00b0C, down from the previous night&#8217;s 8.5\u00b0C, but still 1.3\u00b0C above the typical temperature for this time of year in the north Kashmir district of Baramulla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the temperature settled at 24.3\u00b0C, slightly below the previous night&#8217;s 24.6\u00b0C, with a marginal increase of 0.2\u00b0C above the seasonal average. Banihal, Batote, and Bhaderwah recorded lows of 13.8\u00b0C, 17.3\u00b0C, and 13.4\u00b0C respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meteorological official stated that dry weather is anticipated over the next 24 hours, though isolated thunderstorm activity cannot be entirely ruled out. From May 18-19, generally cloudy weather with light rain or thunder is expected at isolated to scattered locations during the afternoon.
