According to a meteorological department official, Srinagar saw a minimum temperature of 9.5\u00b0C compared to 5.4\u00b0C the previous night, marking a notable rise above the seasonal average for this time of year. In Qazigund, the minimum temperature stood at 8.0\u00b0C, up from 4.4\u00b0C recorded the night before, indicating a deviation of 3.3\u00b0C from the normal temperature for the gateway town of Kashmir. Pahalgam registered a low of 4.7\u00b0C, a significant increase from the previous night&#8217;s 0.7\u00b0C, exceeding the typical temperature for the renowned resort in south Kashmir by 3.3\u00b0C. Similarly, Kokernag recorded a minimum temperature of 7.7\u00b0C, up from 6.6\u00b0C, while Kupwara witnessed a low of 7.7\u00b0C compared to 3.3\u00b0C, both exhibiting deviations above the normal temperatures for their respective areas. Gulmarg, famous for its skiing, recorded a minimum temperature of 3.0\u00b0C, indicating a rise of 3.8\u00b0C from the previous night and remaining above the average temperature. Jammu, the winter capital, experienced a minimum temperature of 18.0\u00b0C, exceeding the seasonal average by 1.4\u00b0C. Banihal, Batote, and Bhaderwah recorded lows of 10.2\u00b0C, 13.5\u00b0C, and 9.0\u00b0C respectively, as reported by the official. The forecast for the region anticipates generally cloudy weather with light rain in the plains and snowfall in higher reaches from the evening of March 27th to the 28th.
