{"id":51326,"date":"2024-03-23T05:22:16","date_gmt":"2024-03-23T05:22:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/?p=51326"},"modified":"2024-03-23T05:22:17","modified_gmt":"2024-03-23T05:22:17","slug":"jk-witnesses-drop-in-nighttime-temperatures-gulmarg-records-lowest-at-minus-2-5c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/23\/jk-witnesses-drop-in-nighttime-temperatures-gulmarg-records-lowest-at-minus-2-5c\/","title":{"rendered":"J&amp;K Witnesses Drop in Nighttime Temperatures; Gulmarg Records Lowest at Minus 2.5\u00b0C"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Srinagar, March 23: <\/strong>Night temperatures in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a decline, with mercury dropping below the sub-zero level in Gulmarg and Pahalgam on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a meteorological department official, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5\u00b0C, compared to 7.2\u00b0C the previous night, marking a deviation of 1.5\u00b0C above normal for this time of the year in the summer capital of JK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qazigund reported a minimum temperature of 5.8\u00b0C, down from 7.0\u00b0C the previous night, which was 2.1\u00b0C above normal for the gateway town of Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pahalgam experienced a low of minus 1.1\u00b0C, contrasting with 3.7\u00b0C recorded the previous night, marking a deviation of 1.5\u00b0C below normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, maintained a minimum temperature of 5.6\u00b0C, the same as the previous night, with a deviation of 2.3\u00b0C above normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Kupwara town, the minimum temperature dropped to 5.6\u00b0C from 6.6\u00b0C the previous night, marking a deviation of 1.1\u00b0C below normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulmarg, renowned for its skiing, recorded a low of minus 2.5\u00b0C, compared to minus 0.5\u00b0C the previous night, which was 0.9\u00b0C below normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Jammu recorded a minimum temperature of 14.4\u00b0C, which was 1.1\u00b0C below normal for the winter capital of J&amp;K.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Banihal reported a low of 7.6\u00b0C, Batote 9.1\u00b0C, and Bhaderwah 7.0\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meteorological department forecasts generally dry weather with brief cloudiness until March 26. On March 27, partly to generally cloudy weather is expected with light rain\/snow at a few places.
