{"id":51129,"date":"2024-03-19T05:28:41","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T05:28:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/?p=51129"},"modified":"2024-03-19T05:29:30","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T05:29:30","slug":"temperature-plummets-across-kashmir-valley-during-nighttime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/19\/temperature-plummets-across-kashmir-valley-during-nighttime\/","title":{"rendered":"Temperature Plummets Across Kashmir Valley During Nighttime"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Srinagar, March 19: <\/strong>Most places across Jammu and Kashmir experienced a drop in night temperatures on Tuesday, amid forecasts of generally cloudy weather with the possibility of light rain\/snow from March 21, according to a meteorological department official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 2.5\u00b0C, down from 3.5\u00b0C the previous night, marking a deviation of 2.2\u00b0C below the normal for this time of the year in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, saw the mercury drop to 2.2\u00b0C from 2.8\u00b0C, registering a deviation of 1.4\u00b0C below the normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pahalgam, the renowned resort in south Kashmir, witnessed a low of minus 0.9\u00b0C, compared to minus 1.3\u00b0C the previous night, marking a deviation of 1.0\u00b0C below the normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of 3.8\u00b0C, up from 3.2\u00b0C, indicating a deviation of 0.3\u00b0C above the normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kupwara town reported a low of 1.5\u00b0C, down from 1.3\u00b0C, with a deviation of 1.6\u00b0C below the normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Gulmarg, the world-famous skiing resort in north Kashmir&#8217;s Baramulla district, the temperature dropped to minus 1.0\u00b0C from minus 0.5\u00b0C, marking a deviation of 1.3\u00b0C above the normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Jammu recorded a minimum temperature of 14.4\u00b0C, which was 0.5\u00b0C below the normal for the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Banihal registered a low of 5.0\u00b0C, Batote 8.3\u00b0C, and Bhaderwah 4.6\u00b0C, the official added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar, March 19: Most places across Jammu and Kashmir experienced a drop in night temperatures on Tuesday, amid forecasts of generally cloudy weather with the possibility of light rain\/snow from March 21, according to a meteorological department official.
