Although still below the normal temperature by 1.2\u00b0C for this time of year in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the increase in temperature is notable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of 1.8\u00b0C, down from minus 0.6\u00b0C the previous night, remaining 0.4\u00b0C below normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pahalgam registered a low of minus 0.4\u00b0C, contrasting with minus 2.9\u00b0C the previous night. Despite being 1.0\u00b0C above the normal temperature for the famous resort in south Kashmir, the temperature remained below freezing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kokernag, also situated in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of 0.1\u00b0C, compared to minus 1.3\u00b0C the previous night, showing a deviation of 1.8\u00b0C below normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Kupwara town recorded a low of 2.5\u00b0C, in contrast to minus 1.5\u00b0C the previous night, indicating a 2.5\u00b0C deviation below normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulmarg experienced a low of minus 4.2\u00b0C, a slight increase from minus 6.5\u00b0C the previous night, remaining below normal by 0.7\u00b0C for the renowned skiing resort in north Kashmir&#8217;s Baramulla district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Jammu, the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.6\u00b0C, significantly below normal by 11.4\u00b0C for the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other areas recorded minimum temperatures as follows: Banihal at 1.6\u00b0C, Batote at 4.5\u00b0C, and Bhaderwah at 1.6\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weather forecast indicates mainly dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir until March 10.
