{"id":4945,"date":"2020-06-09T06:21:46","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T06:21:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/?p=4945"},"modified":"2020-06-09T06:22:02","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T06:22:02","slug":"4945","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2020\/06\/09\/4945\/","title":{"rendered":"Sopore man dies of Covid-19 at CD hospital, JK toll 47"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kashmir Valley on Tuesday reported one more death due to novel coronavirus as a 52-year-old man from Sopore succumbed to the virus at Srinagar\u2019s CD hospital, one of the exclusive facilities meant for the management of covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fatality has taken death toll due to the pathogen in Jammu and Kashmir to 47\u201442 from Valley and 5 from Jammu division.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A family member of the deceased&nbsp;said that man, who was an auto driver by profession, met with an accident on May 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe was admitted to SMHS hospital since and two days ago his sample for the COVID-19 returned positive and was shifted to CD hospital,\u201d the family member said, adding, \u201che died at 5 a.m. today.\u201d&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo also confirmed the man\u2019s death due to the virus. \u201cHe will be buried as per the covid-19 protocol,\u201d he added.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>So far Srinagar district with 12 deaths due to the virus has the highest fatalities followed by Baramulla nine, Anantnag six, Kulgam four, three each in Shopian, Kupwara and Jammu, two in Budgam while one death each has been reported from Pulwama, Bandipora, Doda and Udhampur.
