Jammu, December 28, 2023 :\u00a0<\/strong> An impressive function was held at PCC HQ. Shaheedi Chowk Jammu today to celebrate the 139th<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0Foundation Day of the Congress party. Working President Shri Raman Bhalla hoisted the party flag in the presence of Sr Vice President & Former Minister Shri Mula Ram and other Senior leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The traditional salute and the National Anthem was sung by all Congress leaders and workers present on the occasion amidst raising of slogans of \u201cINC Zinda Bad \u201c, Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The function was organized by District Congress Committee Jammu Urban led by Th. Manmohan Singh in coordination with Congress Seva Dal led by its Chief Shri Vijay Sharma, which was attended by functionaries of PCC, DCC, Block, Frontal Wings and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prominent among them include PCC Vice Presidents, Vinod Sharma I\/C HQ , Hari Singh Chib, Rajnish Sharma (Treasurer), Pranav Shagotra, General Secretaries Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma, Narinder Gupta, Anayatullah Rathar, Narinder Sharma, Suresh Dogra,Satish Sharma, Santosh Majotra, DCC President Ramban Pervez Ahmed Wani, Working President Samba Babal Gupta, President NSUI Ajay Lakhotra, PCC Secretaries Rajveer Singh, Ritu Choudhary, Sanjeev Sharma(Panda), Th. Bagi, Som Nath Sharma, Chander Shekhar, Nassar Masih, Latish Sharma, Balvinder Singh, Sanjeev Katal, Bushan Kumar Reedi,PYC leaders Anirudh Sawhney, Shoaib Magray, Imad, Tanveer Singh , Office, Rishab Kohli, Anmol Kohli , Mehul Abrol and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Addressing the gathering Shri Raman Bhalla said that Congress has history of struggle and sacrifices of 138 years for the freedom of the country and for the unity, integrity and diversity. \u201cToday, once again the circumstances are similar to those existing before independence. The rights of people are being crushed, there is dictatorship everywhere, democratic and constitutional institutions are being finished. Unemployment is at its peak, farms and fields are being attacked. In such circumstances, it is our responsibility to save the country from such dictatorship and fight it. This is true patriotism,\u201d Bhalla said. He marked the occasion by highlighting his party\u2019s pledge for \u201ctruth and equality\u201d and said that \u201cCongress has been committed from the beginning to raise the voice of the nation\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On Congress Foundation Day let us celebrate & acknowledge the selfless service & contributions of millions of Congress workers, men & women, who have helped build & sustain the Congress party over the ages. We owe these unsung heroes our gratitude & respect, observed Bhalla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said that the Congress party shall continue its struggle for early restoration of statehood and democracy in Jammu and Kashmir and to safeguard the right to lands and jobs for the youth. He appealed to the party workers to expose the false and malicious propaganda of the opposition parties and strengthen the Congress party for the better future of youths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Addressing the function Sr. Vice President Shri Mula Ram (Ex-Minister) said that<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Congress party represents the idea of India which means unity in diversity. During 138 years of its history of service to the nation and the country, congress has always stood for the protection and preservation of this idea of India and continuously fought against the divisive and communal forces in the country which pose a threat to this very idea of India more than before now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DCC President Th.
