{"id":47828,"date":"2023-12-06T05:23:20","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T05:23:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/?p=47828"},"modified":"2023-12-06T06:24:52","modified_gmt":"2023-12-06T06:24:52","slug":"srinagar-jammu-and-kashmir-hits-seasons-lowest-temperature-at-minus-2-degrees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earlypostdaily.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/06\/srinagar-jammu-and-kashmir-hits-seasons-lowest-temperature-at-minus-2-degrees\/","title":{"rendered":"Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Hits Season&#8217;s Lowest Temperature at Minus 2 Degrees"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Srinagar, Dec 6:<\/strong> Cold conditions intensified in Jammu and Kashmir as Srinagar experienced the coldest night of the season at minus 2.0\u00b0C on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a meteorological department official, Srinagar recorded a low of minus 2.0\u00b0C, compared to minus 1.4\u00b0C the previous night, marking a deviation of 1.1\u00b0C below the seasonal average for this time in Srinagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qazigund reported a minimum temperature of minus 2.0\u00b0C, down from minus 1.6\u00b0C the previous night, registering a deviation of 1.0\u00b0C below the norm for the gateway town of Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 5.1\u00b0C, compared to minus 4.3\u00b0C the previous night, with a deviation of 1.8\u00b0C below the normal for the renowned resort in south Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, the minimum temperature was minus 0.5\u00b0C, up from 0.2\u00b0C the previous night, but still within 0.1\u00b0C above the normal range for the location, as per the official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kupwara town in north Kashmir reported a low of minus 2.7\u00b0C, down from minus 1.4\u00b0C the previous night, indicating a deviation of 1.3\u00b0C below normal, the official mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulmarg, the world-famous skiing resort in north Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 2.2\u00b0C, slightly higher than the minus 2.3\u00b0C recorded the previous night, with the current temperature being 1.1\u00b0C above normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jammu recorded a minimum temperature of 9.0\u00b0C, compared to 9.9\u00b0C the previous night, registering a deviation of 0.8\u00b0C below normal for the winter capital of J&amp;K.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meteorological official forecasted partly cloudy weather until December 7, with expectations of partly to generally cloudy conditions from December 8-10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar, Dec 6: Cold conditions intensified in Jammu and Kashmir as Srinagar experienced the coldest night of the season at minus 2.0\u00b0C on Wednesday.
