JAMMU, NOVEMBER 30: Amid blistering performances, the two day UT level Kala \u200eUtsav 2023 concluded today at Teacher Bhawan, \u200eGandhi Nagar here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal Secretary, Education department, Alok Kumar was the Chief Guest on the valedictory session of the two day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. Tassaduq Hussain; \u200eProject Director Samagra Shiksha, Deep Raj; Director School \u200eEducation Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma and other officers besides large number of teachers and students were also present on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the two day event, students from various schools showcased extraordinary cultural performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the huge gathering, \u200eAlok Kumar highlighted the need of promoting art in education at \u200eall levels. He said that efforts have been made to improve the potential \u200eof the students participating in cultural events. \u200eHe reiterated that there is need to recognise importance of \u200eaesthetics and artistic experiences for our students which play major \u200erole in creating awareness of rich cultural heritage and vibrant \u200ediversity of our UT and the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emphasising on the need of \u200eorganising such programmes on regular basis at school level, the Principal Secretary \u200eshared that the aim of Education is not only to preserve and transmit our \u200ediverse cultural integrities to coming generation but its transformation is \u200efar more significant. He maintained that school education department (SED) is \u200eproviding better platforms to children for showcasing their talent in \u200edifferent fields.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expressed his gratitude to all the participating \u200estudents for displaying their scintillating performances. He also \u200einformed that under the prestigious scheme PM SHRI Schools, Art \u200eStudios shall be established to give boost to the Cultural activities. \u200e\u201dSuch programmes provide platform for our budding youth to judge their \u200eaptitude in comparison with the students of other parts of country\u201d, he \u200eadded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While highlighting the significance of art in the present era, \u200eKumar also praised the efforts of Teachers for their tireless work and \u200eSamagra Shiksha team, for making Kala Utsav-2023 a grand success.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200eAddressing the gathering, Project Director Samagra Shiksha \u200e said that efforts are being made to encourage students to \u200eparticipate in different co-curricular activities in addition to their regular \u200eclass work so that they may popularize the names of their parents, areas \u200eand regions and may become a source of inspiration for others. While \u200etalking about the programme, the project director intimated around 4100 \u200estudents from more than 1900 schools participated in Kala-\u200eUtsav competitions across the UT and out of which 40 Students were \u200eselected at UT level. He added that out of them, 20 have been selected for \u200eNational level, today by a team of judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the occasion, Director \u200eSchool Education Kashmir stressed on the need to up-bring \u200ethe potential of students in the field of art and culture at institutional \u200elevel. He stressed on the need of bringing awareness among masses \u200eespecially the parents, so that no child remains un-educated and \u200eunattended. \u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, Director School Education Jammu, \u200eextended his gratitude to all the students who participated in this year\u2019s \u200eKala-Utsav at different levels. He also thanked the teachers, CEOs, \u200ecultural wings at District and Divisional level for their relentless efforts in \u200emaking this year\u2019s event a grand success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D. Goenka, Daneesha Devi, GHSS BASANTGARH, Abeer DPS \u200eAthwajan, Rubby, GGHS, Kathua, Ali Shabir,\u200e DPS Athwajan, Anshika \u200eSharma, APS Janglot, Pragati Mishra APS kathua, Janveer Aryan, HSS \u200eBoys Kishtwar, SOHIL JAVID GBHS Poonch, Anshika Sardalia, Brahmrishi \u200eBawra, Udhampur, Hyya Mallinson School, MOHD IMRAN GBHS \u200ePoonch Poonch, Simran Verma GHSS Akhnoor, NUTAN SYAL, Himalayan \u200eEducation Mission, HSS RAJOURI, GMHSS Billawar, Narinder, GHS Khairi, \u200eSyed Qabbad, BHSS Zadibal, Falak Naaz GHSS Magam got First \u200epositions in 20 categories. \u200e<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
