Jammu : <\/strong>Councilor Priti Khajuria inaugurated 5 newly constructed vertical umbrella lights in domail Chowk udhampur of her ward and dedicated them to the city and a message of cleanliness has also been given on each light, which is also the need of the hour. Preeti Khajuria told that Domel Chowk is the main square of the city but got recognized by the councilors and today the Chowk has become a center of attraction. The councilor said that first of all a fountain was built in the square, after that at the end of the year, seven statues depicting the Dandi March were installed and now vertical umbrella lights were installed, due to which this area was beautified and the city also got an identity. The councilor said that it is the duty of a public representative to work for public as well as for development of area they represents Khajuria told that he got these works done in the second phase of “My Town My Pride ” program by the J&K UT government because her city is hers pride for which he got the opportunity and got these works done away from the streets and drains and got them completed within time. This is a square through which every leader, district administration officer, tourists as well as common people pass, to make this area special from ordinary she took this initiative to give identification to her city which was her dream also and moreover this work has been done only in selected cities of the country . Khajuria believes that to make dreams come true, both opportunity and hard work are needed and when it comes to village, city, society or country, something should be done so that the area can be proud their representatives who gives importance to the people’s work and development of the area and not the one who misuses the power as soon as he gets power.
