 Pays tributes to Amar Shaheed Krantiveer Havildar Jagir Singh and Shaheed Joginder Singh at Rakh Lachhipur<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kathua:<\/strong> Former Minister Rajeev Jasrotia today paid floral tribute to Amar Shaheed Krantiveer Havildar Jagir Singh and Shaheed Joginder Singh at Rakh Lachhipur under Meri Mati Mera Desh program. Jagir Singh martyred for the country in 2004 and Joginder Singh martyred in 1989. Jasrotia collected \u2018Mitti\u2019 (soil) from every home, especially the homes of martyrs and the prominent ones under the \u2018Meri Mati, Mera Desh\u2019 campaign. Prominent among those present on the occasion include \u00a0Gurmeet Singh, Randeep Singh, Paramjit Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Gurjit Singh, Fauja Singh, Ashok Jasrotia, Gyan Singh ,Vidya Sagar besides others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the occasion, Jasrotia said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his tenure of more than 9 years, many times raised such slogans which later got covered on the lips of the people. Many slogans were converted into a campaign and they brought positive changes in country. The latest in this regard is , \u201cMeri Maati, Mera Desh\u201d to honor the brave martyrs of the country. Jasrotia said that a society that forgets its martyrs will itself be forgotten one day. We are indebted to those martyrs who laid down their lives for ours and our families’ future. He said that such events will not only solve the purpose of remembering contributions of the Army but people need to bond themselves with their sacrifices. He said that the whole nation is indebted to martyrs for their supreme sacrifice. He said those who attain supreme sacrifices for nation are lucky ones and we must stand by the family members of martyrs so that they don’t feel alienated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jasrotia said that people should not forget the days when our soldiers give their lives while guarding borders for nation’s safety. He said that the youth must unite and stand in support of our forces so that they should not feel demoralized in the hands of anti-national elements. He said that being patriotic towards the nation is everyone’s responsibility, for we as a society and as a group. He added that there is no nation without people and vice-versa and \u2018Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign is to honour the country’s martyred brave hearts, who put their life at stake for the safety and security of general masses.He remarked that this campaign is envisaged from 9th August 2023 as a culminating event of \u2018Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and it is a tribute to the Veers and Veeranganas who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Jasrotia said that \u2018Meri Maati Mera Desh’ also envisions a unified celebration of India’s soil and valour, commemorating the nation’s journey of freedom and progress. He highlighted that by connecting with the land and honouring our heroes, this program will instill a sense of national pride and inspire future generations to protect India’s cherished heritage.He further said that youth form a major part of our nation and being patriotic towards it is their major responsibility.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
