Udhampur, \u00a021 Jul 2023 :<\/strong> To commemorate 24 years of victory over Pakistan in Kargil War of 1999 and to showcase the indomitable spirit of women, the Armed Forces under the aegis of Headquarters Northern Command has launched the Nari Sashaktikaran Women Motorcycle Rally from National War Memorial, New Delhi to Kargil War Memorial, Dras on 18 Jul 23. The expedition reached Udhampur on 20th July wherein it was flagged-in by Major General Hartej Singh Bajaj, General Officer Commanding 71 Sub Area at Udhampur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Rally members interacted with Regional President AWWA, school students, teachers, NCC cadets, Veer Naris and Ex-servicemen who had gathered to welcome the team members and to cheer them on. Rally members spoke about the significance of the Rally and celebrations of 24th<\/sup>\u00a0Kargil Vijay Diwas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Northern Command complimented the Rally members for being the torch bearers of Nari Sashaktikaran and undertaking such a challenging journey. The 25 member strong team includes Veer Naris and\u00a0\u00a0 serving person from all the three services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            As a mark of respect, the members of the rally will pay their homage to the brave hearts at the Dhruva War Memorial at Udhampur in a solemn event.
