According to a meteorological department official quoted by GNS, dry weather is expected to prevail until July 14, although brief spells of rain and thunderstorms at isolated places cannot be ruled out (with a chance of over 70%). From July 15-24, intermittent light to moderate rain has been predicted in many areas of J&amp;K, with chances of up to 70%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding today&#8217;s minimum temperatures, the MeT official stated that Srinagar recorded a low of 16.4\u00b0C, slightly lower than the previous night&#8217;s 17.2\u00b0C, and 1.7\u00b0C below the normal for the summer capital. Qazigund registered a low of 16.0\u00b0C, compared to 14.5\u00b0C the previous night, which was 0.5\u00b0C below the normal for the gateway town of the Kashmir Valley. Pahalgam, the famous tourist resort in south Kashmir&#8217;s Anantnag district, recorded a low of 10.7\u00b0C, slightly higher than the previous night&#8217;s 10.3\u00b0C, but still 1.3\u00b0C below normal. In Kupwara town, the mercury settled at 15.1\u00b0C, slightly lower than the previous night&#8217;s 15.2\u00b0C, and 1.3\u00b0C below normal for the north Kashmir area. Kokernag recorded a low of 15.3\u00b0C, compared to 14.2\u00b0C the previous night, which was 0.6\u00b0C below normal. Gulmarg, the world-famous skiing resort in north Kashmir&#8217;s Baramulla district, registered a low of 9.8\u00b0C, higher than the previous night&#8217;s 9.0\u00b0C, but still 2.0\u00b0C below normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Jammu, the winter capital of J&amp;K, the minimum temperature was 25.1\u00b0C, above the normal of 23.8\u00b0C.
